Surah Al-Masad

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 111:1

   تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ﴿١﴾

   tabbat yadā ˈabī lahabin wa-tabba

   Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he!

2. 111:2

   مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ﴿٢﴾

   mā ˈaġnā ʿanhu māluhū wa-mā kasaba

   Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned.

3. 111:3

   سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ﴿٣﴾

   sa-yaṣlā nāran ḏāta lahabin

   Soon he will enter the blazing fire,

4. 111:4

   وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ﴿٤﴾

   wa-mraˈatuhū ḥammālata l-ḥaṭabi

   and his wife [too], the firewood carrier,

5. 111:5

   فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ﴿٥﴾

   fī ǧīdihā ḥablun min masadin

   with a rope of palm fibre around her neck.
