جميع من أحبهم لكربلاء مضى (3x)All my loved ones have departed for Karbala.
ولم أزل أعد عمري الذي قضىAnd I still count the years of my life that have passed.
فكيف يصبر الذي بقومه غريبHow can one who is a stranger among his people endure?
لكل شعرة تشيب يطبق الفضاءWith every gray hair, the world closes in.
وما تبقى من أحبه سوى الذكرىAnd all that remains of my loved ones is memory.
لكل حائط أعلق لهم صورOn every wall, I hang their pictures.
يعود منهم الشهيد كي نزفهThe martyr returns from among them, so we may mourn him.
ولا يعود الفاطمي مفقودBut the Fatimid, lost, does not return.
ولا يعود البدور والظلام دامسNor do the full moons return, and the darkness is profound.
هنا أنا قتيل شوقهHere I am, slain by his longing.
ولن أعود أناAnd I will not return.
لئن أتاني زائري لأرض بالمنامIf my visitor comes to me in a dream,
سأفرش الدروب في المنامI will spread the paths in the dream.
يا شهادةO martyrdom!
التي تعمد الحياةWhich baptizes life.
هي الشهادة التي تعمد الحياةIt is martyrdom that baptizes life.
هي الدواء لمن يخاف علة المماتIt is the cure for those who fear the ailment of death.
عقيدة يحيكها بخيط فاطمةA belief woven with the thread of Fatima.
ليرتدي عباءة الإمام في الصلاةTo wear the cloak of the Imam in prayer.
سأقسم بفاطمة وضلعهاI will swear by Fatima and her rib.
لا سأقسم بفاطمة عظمه وضلعهاNo, I will swear by Fatima, her greatness, and her rib.
النبي والوصي والطريح بالفلاBy the Prophet, the Successor, and the one cast down in the desert.
لئن أسجل بدفتر الهدى شهيدSo that I may be recorded as a martyr in the book of guidance.
وأعبر الحدود من هنالك كربلاءAnd cross the borders from there to Karbala.
واشتروا الوليAnd they bought the guardian.
عاد والمهندس وصاحبه جلالتك تسودHe returned, and the engineer and his companion, your majesty reigns.
ورددت عيونهم لتدرك النجاةAnd their eyes echoed to realize salvation.
تنفسوا بحب فاطمة تنفّسواBreathe with the love of Fatima. Breathe!
وآخر الوفاء يا قلادة الجهادAnd the last act of loyalty, O necklace of jihad!
تذكّروا جميلناRemember our beautiful one,
محرّر وردّدوا على مدى الزمان والمكان عمادThe liberator. And repeat throughout time and space: Imad!
