من أين لي النجاة في غير تربة كربلاءFrom where could salvation come to me, if not in the dust of Karbala?

من أين لي النجاةWhere else could I find salvation,

في غير تربة كربلاءother than in the soil of Karbala?

حيث الاستغفار يقبلWhere seeking forgiveness is accepted,

من تحت قبة كربلاءbeneath the dome of Karbala.

اعذرني سيديForgive me, my Master,

إن أشغلتني السنينif the passing years kept me occupied.

ظلمت نفسي في غفلتيI wronged myself in my negligence,

لكنك خير الأكرمينyet You are the most generous of the noble.

ورجائي كربلاءAnd my ultimate hope is Karbala.

خذ عمري وارزقني كربلاءTake my life, but grant me Karbala!
