بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِIn the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِي جَعَلَ ٱللَّيلَ لِبَاساًAll praise be to Allah Who appointed the night to be a garment,
وَٱلنَّوْمَ سُبَاتاًand sleep for a rest,
وَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّهَارَ نُشُوراًday a time to work and make efforts
لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ انْ بَعَثْتَنِي مِنْ مَرْقَدِيTo You belongs praise, for You make me come out of the deep sleep (motionless spell of inactivity) everyday
وَلَوْ شِئْتَ جَعَلْتَهُ سَرْمَداًand had You willed, You would have made it everlasting;
حَمْداً دَائِماً لاَ يَنْقَطِعُ اَبَداًan endless praise that will never be cut off
وَلاَ يُحْصِي لَهُ ٱلخَلائِقُ عَدَداًand whose number the creatures will never count!
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ انْ خَلَقْتَ فَسَوَّيْتَO Allah, to You belongs praise, for You created, then fashioned,
وَقَدَّرْتَ وَقَضَيْتَordained and decreed,
وَ امَتَّ وَ احْيَيْتَgave death and bestowed life,
وَ امْرَضْتَ وَشَفَيْتَmade sick and healed,
وَعَافَيْتَ وَ ابْلَيْتَmade well and afflicted,
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَيْتَestablished the Throne
وَعَلَىٰ ٱلْمُلْكِ ٱحْتَوَيْتَand encompassed the Kingdom!
ادْعُوكَ دُعَاءَ مَنْ ضَعُفَتْ وَسِيلَتُهُI supplicate You with the supplication of one whose mediation is weak,
وَٱنْقَطَعَتْ حِيلَتُهُwhose stratagems have been cut off,
وَٱقْتَرَبَ اجَلُهُwhose term has drawn near,
وَتَدَانَىٰ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا امَلُهُwhose expectation from this world has shrunk,
وَٱشْتَدَّتْ إِلَىٰ رَحْمَتِكَ فَاقَتُهُwhose neediness for Your mercy has intensified,
وَعَظُمَتْ لِتَفْرِيطِهِ حَسْرَتُهُwhose remorse for his neglect has become great,
وَكَثُرَتْ زَلَّتُهُ وَعَثْرَتُهُwhose slips and stumbles have become many,
وَخَلُصَتْ لِوَجْهِكَ تَوْبَتُهُand whose repentance is devoted sincerely to Your face.
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍSo, bless Muhammad,
خَاتَمِ النَّبِيّينَthe Seal of the Prophets,
وَعَلَىٰ اهْلِ بَيْتِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِينَ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَand his Household, the good, the pure,
وَٱرْزُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ مُحَمَّدٍand provide me with the intercession of Muhammad,
صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِAllah bless him and his Household,
وَلاَ تَحْرِمْنِي صُحْبَتَهُand deprive me not of his companionship!
إِنَّكَ انْتَ ارْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَSurely, You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy!
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱقْضِ لِي فِي ٱلارْبِعَاءِ اَرْبَعاًO Allah, decree for me on Wednesday four things:
إِجْعَلْ قُوَّتِي فِي طَاعَتِكَInduce me to be strong in obedience to You,
وَنَشَاطِي فِي عِبَادَتِكَto be active in worshiping You,
وَرَغْبَتِي فِي ثَوَابِكَto be desirous for Your reward,
وَزُهْدِي فِيمَا يُوجِبُ لِي الِيمَ عِقَابِكَand to abstain from that which would make incumbent upon me Your painful punishment!
إِنَّكَ لَطِيفٌ لِمَا تَشَاءُYou are Gentle to whom You will!
