صوت الاسىthe voice of sorrow

مثله تليlike it, recited

زينبيهZaynabiyyah (related to Lady Zaynab)

تجسدIt embodies

فوقه يرسم ضلع ام تراها قبه فالدعاءAbove it, a rib is drawn, or do you see it as a dome for prayer?

عبر الزكيهThrough the pure one

سيصعدHe will ascend

يا الهيOh my God

في الحسينيه اسمع دعائي يا الهي من امام الزمانIn the Husayniyah, hear my prayer, O my God, from the Imam of the Age

رجائي يا الهيMy hope, O my God

في رضاه رضاك رضائيIn his satisfaction is your satisfaction, my satisfaction

يا الهيOh my God

اللهمOh God

رب علي جزائي الحسيني بخدمه الحسيني وحرمته بشيعه الحسينيLord, grant me the reward of Al-Hussaini by serving Al-Hussaini and his sanctity with the followers of Al-Hussaini

ونصرته وفقني وارض عني امامي اللهم رب اماميAnd his victory, grant me success and be pleased with me, my Imam, O God, Lord of my Imam

وربيAnd my Lord

وخالق امامي وخالقيAnd the creator of my Imam and my creator

ربي امامي وربيMy Lord is my Imam and my Lord

ارض عني وارض عني امامي ارض عني فابصرنيBe pleased with me, and be pleased with me, my Imam, be pleased with me, and then show me

فاطم وحيدر كيف حالي داخل الماتم دون اذني كيفFatima and Haidar, how is my condition inside the mourning gathering without my permission, how

حالي لم اعش مع امامي بحزني كيف كيف حالي،My condition, I did not live with my Imam in my sorrow, how, how is my condition,

ان اخونه بعيني واذني،That I betray him with my eyes and my ears,

كيف حالي، اللهمHow is my condition, O Allah

رب جرح الحبيب،Lord of the beloved's wound,

الكفر اعجبDisbelief is more amazing.

مصيبه ما وجودي غير تعليق لون السواد ما وجوديA calamity. My existence is nothing but a commentary on the color of blackness. My existence is not.

للتي مات نهاد وداديFor the one whose foundation of love died.

ما وجوديMy existence is not.

بعد ما ابرزت في البلادAfter what I have shown in the country.

مادام دمعتك نزلتAs long as your tear has fallen

اذكر لك ان مولاي زين العابدين وهاي ايام مولايI remind you that my master Zain al-Abidin, and these are the days of my master

بليله من الليالي يجي ابو حمزه الثمالي يقول لهOn one of the nights, Abu Hamza al-Thumali comes and says to him

مولاي اما ان لحزنك ان ينقضيMy master, has your sorrow not yet ended?

يقول له يا ابا حمزه شكر الله سعيكHe says to him, "O Abu Hamza, may God reward your efforts."

لكن يا ابا حمزه صحيح اللي تقوله القتل لناBut, O Abu Hamza, what you say is true: killing is for us

عاد وكرامتنا من الله الشهاده لكن يا ابا حمزهand our dignity from God is martyrdom. But, O Abu Hamza,

نسالك سؤال هل رات عيناك ام هل سمعت اذناكwe ask you a question: Have your eyes seen, or have your ears heard,

ان هاشميه لنا سبيت قبل يوم عاشورا؟that a Hashemite woman of ours was taken captive before the day of Ashura?

هاي هي مصيبه سادتي وهي مصيبه مولاي صاحب الزمانThis is the calamity of my masters, and it is the calamity of my master, the Imam of our time.

ما وجودي غير تعليق لون السوادMy existence is nothing but hanging the color of black.

للتي متنها هاه، دوش وداديFor the one whose body is, oh, my love.

وارضي عني امامي هسه هذا اختلف صار بدمعه دعاءAnd be pleased with me, my Imam, now this has changed, it has become a prayer with tears.
