بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِIn the Name of Allah, the All-compassionate, the All-merciful.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ الَّذِي لاَ ارْجُو إِلاَّ فَضْلَهُIn the name of Allah, from whom I hope for nothing but bounty,
وَلاَ اخْشىٰ إِلاَّ عَدْلَهُI fear nothing but justice,
وَلاَ اعْتَمِدُ إِلاَّ قَوْلَهُI rely upon nothing but His word,
وَلاَ امْسِكُ إِلاَّ بِحَبْلِهِand I cling to nothing but His Rope.
بِكَ اسْتَجِيـرُ يَا ذَا ٱلْعَفْوِ وَٱلرِّضْوَانِIn You do I seek sanctuary— O Possessor of pardon and good pleasure—
مِنَ ٱلظُّلْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَانِfrom wrong and enmity,
وَمِنْ غِيَرِ ٱلزَّمَانِfrom the vicissitudes of time
وَتَوَاتُرِ ٱلاحْزَانِfrom recurrence of sorrows,
وَطَوَارِقِ ٱلْحَدَثَانِfrom the striking of mishaps,
وَمِنِ ٱنْقِضَاءِ ٱلْمُدَّةِ قَبْلَ ٱلتَّاهُّبِ وَٱلْعُدَّةِand from the expiration of the term before preparation and readiness.
وَإِيَّاكَ اسْتَرْشِدُ لِمَا فيهِ ٱلصَّلاَحُ وَٱلإِصْلاَحُFrom You do I seek guidance to that wherein is righteousness and setting aright.
وَبِكَ اسْتَعينُ فيمَا يَقْتَرِنُ بِهِ ٱلنَّجَاحُ وَٱلإِنْجَاحُFrom You do I seek help in that which is linked to success and favorable response.
وَإِيَّاكَ ارْغَبُ فِي لِبَاسِ ٱلْعَافِيَةِ وَتَمَامِهَاFrom You do I desire for the garment of wellbeing and its completion,
وَشُمُولِ ٱلسَّلاَمَةِ وَدَوَامِهَاand the covering of health and its permanence.
وَ اعُوذُ بِكَ يَا رَبِّ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ ٱلشَّيَاطينِI seek refuge in You, O my Lord, from the evil suggestions of the devils.
وَ احْتَرِزُ بِسُلْطَانِكَ مِنْ جَوْرِ ٱلسَّلاَطِينِI seek protection in Your sovereignty from the injustice of the sovereigns.
فَتَقَبَّلْ مَا كَانَ مِنْ صَلاَتِي وَصَوْمِيSo, (please) accept my past prayers and fasting,
وَٱجْعَلْ غَدِي وَمَا بَعْدَهُ افْضَلَ مِنْ سَاعَتِي وَيَوْمِيmake my morrow and what is after it better than my present hour and my day,
وَ اعِزَّنِي فِي عَشيرَتِي وَقَوْمِيexalt me in my clan and people,
وَٱحْفَظْنِي فِي يَقْظَتِي وَنَوْمِيand protect me in my waking and sleep,
فَانْتَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌ حَافِظاًfor You are Allah, the Best Guardian,
وَ انْتَ ارْحَمُ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَand You are the most Merciful of all those who show mercy.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ابْرَا إِلَيْكَ فِي يَوْمِي هٰذَاO Allah, I repudiate, before You on this day of mine
وَمَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ ٱلآحَادِand on all Sundays that follow it,
مِنَ ٱلشِّرْكِ وَٱلإلْحَادِpolytheism and atheism.
وَاخْلِصُ لَكَ دُعَائِيI devote my supplication sincerely to You,
تَعَرُّضَاً لِلإجَابَةِaddressing myself to Your response.
وَاقيمُ عَلَىٰ طَاعَتِكَI observe the acts of obedience to You
رَجَاءً لِلإِثَابَةِfor hope of gaining Your rewards.
فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرِ خَلْقِكَSo, (please) bless Muhammad, the best of Your creation
ٱلدَّاعِي إِلَىٰ حَقِّكَand the caller to Your truth,
وَ اعِزَّنِي بِعِزِّكَ ٱلَّذِي لاَ يُضَامُand fortify me with Your almightiness, which is invulnerable,
وَٱحْفَظْنِي بِعَيْنِكَ ٱلَّتِي لاَ تَنَامُprotect me with Your Eye, which never sleeps,
وَٱخْتِمْ بِٱلإِنْقِطَاعِ إِلَيْكَ امْرِيand seal my affair by acting devoutly to You
وَبِٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ عُمْرِيand my life with forgiveness!
إِنَّكَ انْتَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُSurely, You are the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate!
