حي على شيمتهHasten to his noble valor,

كلهم له فدوة يروحونMay they all be sacrificed for him!

من خزرة عيون علي كلهم يهابونهFrom the fierce gaze of Ali's eyes, all of them tremble in fear,

ما تنظر سوح الحرب غطاها بمتونهYou cannot even see the battlefield, for his broad shoulders have enveloped it.

الله صاحت كربلاء ساحقني بجثامه“O Allah!” Karbala cried, “He treads upon me with his mighty presence!”

والله أغلى من الذهب قاع اللي يسحقونه (2x)By Allah, the ground he treads upon is more precious than gold!

أرض كربلاءO land of Karbala!

سيفك من صال يمطر آجالWhen your sword strikes, it rains down death,

سيف يعشق الكرA sword that thrives on relentless assault.

ما ظل خيالNo horseman remained,

ما ظل أبطالNo champions were left standing,

لما نادى حيدر (2x)When he called out, “Haidar!”

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

أول فداء من الحيدرThe first sacrifice from the line of Haidar,

يبتدي سوح الحرب كرStarts attacking the battlefield relentlessly.

الله أكبر (2x)Allah is the Greatest!

إيدك إيدكRaise your hands, raise your hands!

علي (5x)Ali!

ياللي سيفك يلتهم كل هامةO you whose sword devours every skull,

تِجْزِلْ سيفك لو هذا ثعبانDoes your sword strike, or is it a serpent?

يا حيدر بالفعلO Haidar, truly in deed!

كل فارس ينقتلEvery knight is slain,

يمك ما تبقى فرسانBefore you, no horsemen remain.

مجروش غيرةSteeped in valor and honor,

يا شهم يا صاحب الغيرةO chivalrous one, O master of zeal!

بالحومة يا جنك عليIn the battlefield, as if you are Ali himself,

ما شبهك بغيرهI can liken you to none other.

يا ابن غانم يوصلك عطشانO Ibn Ghanim, he comes to you thirsty!

عود انت تختار بطل الزلمYou claimed you would pick the champion of men,

لا ما أخذت خيرةNay, you made the worst choice!

تختار بطل الزلمYou chose the champion of men,

لا ما أخذت خيرةYet you made the worst choice!

وأرض كربلاءO land of Karbala!

سيفك ثعبان يلهف فرسانYour sword is a serpent devouring horsemen,

نار وبركانFire and a volcano!

مثل الصاعقة تفوتLike a thunderbolt you strike through,

قلبك عطشانYour heart is parched,

لكن قرآنYet it is a living Quran,

روحك فنان يرسم لوحة الموتYour soul is an artist painting the portrait of death,

يرسم لوحة الموتPainting the portrait of death!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيمIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,

قرآن انت أم منكرAre you a holy Quran or the reaper of doom?

يبتدي سوح الحرب والكرThe arena of war and fierce charges commences!

الله أكبر (3x)God is the Greatest!

علي (5x)Ali!

إيه ارتبكوا من هتفYea! They panicked the moment he roared,

سواهم كان سعفHe scattered them like dry palm leaves,

وعليهم كان هجمAnd when he charged upon them,

نار نارIt was fire, consuming fire!

أشجعهم ما ثبتThe bravest among them could not stand firm,

من يمهم سولفتWhen death whispered near them,

يشرد لو يبقى محتارConfused whether to flee or stand bewildered.

قالوا نصد له هجمThey said: 'We shall repel his assault,

ما يدخل العسكرHe will not breach the camp!'

القبة الحديديةAn iron dome of shields,

قبل وقفوا مثل خيبرAs they once stood before at Khaybar,

سقطوا لكن من نزل كان صاعقة عليهمYet they collapsed! For when he descended, he struck them like a thunderbolt,

وتدمروا وتذبحوا وتطشروا بالبر (2x)They were destroyed, slaughtered, and scattered across the desert.

أرض كربلاءO land of Karbala!

حيدر من صاح طلعت أرواحWhen Haidar shouted, souls departed.

نيزك من طاح شافوا الموتLike a falling meteor, they beheld death.

يقلع بالروسSevering the heads,

يخطف النفوسSnatching souls away,

على هذا يدوسTrampling upon this one;

صال وشافوا الموتHe charged, and they beheld death!

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيمIn the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

هذا علي من قلع خيبرThis is Ali, who uprooted Khaybar!

يبتدئ سوح الحرب كرThe battleground begins with unrelenting assault!
