Surah An-Naml

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 27:1

   طسٓ ۚ تِلْكَ ءَايَـٰتُ ٱلْقُرْءَانِ وَكِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ﴿١﴾

   ṭ-s (ṭā sīn) tilka ˈāyātu l-qurˈāni wa-kitābin mubīnin

   Ta, Seen. These are the signs of the Quran and a manifest Book,

2. 27:2

   هُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٢﴾

   hudan wa-bušrā li-l-muˈminīna

   a guidance and good news for the faithful

3. 27:3

   ٱلَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ﴿٣﴾

   allaḏīna yuqīmūna ṣ-ṣalāta wa-yuˈtūna z-zakāta wa-hum bi-l-ˈāḫirati hum yūqinūna

   —those who maintain the prayer and pay the zakat, and who are certain of the Hereafter.

4. 27:4

   إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ﴿٤﴾

   ˈinna llaḏīna lā yuˈminūna bi-l-ˈāḫirati zayyannā lahum ˈaʿmālahum fa-hum yaʿmahūna

   As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem decorous to them, and so they are bewildered.

5. 27:5

   أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلْأَخْسَرُونَ﴿٥﴾

   ˈulāˈika llaḏīna lahum sūˈu l-ʿaḏābi wa-hum fī l-ˈāḫirati humu l-ˈaḫsarūna

   They are the ones for whom there is a terrible punishment, and they are the ones who will be the biggest losers in the Hereafter.

6. 27:6

   وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ﴿٦﴾

   wa-ˈinnaka la-tulaqqā l-qurˈāna min ladun ḥakīmin ʿalīmin

   Indeed you receive the Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing.

7. 27:7

   إِذْ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهْلِهِۦٓ إِنِّىٓ ءَانَسْتُ نَارًا سَـَٔاتِيكُم مِّنْهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوْ ءَاتِيكُم بِشِهَابٍ قَبَسٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَصْطَلُونَ﴿٧﴾

   ˈiḏ qāla mūsā li-ˈahlihī ˈinnī ˈānastu nāran sa-ˈātīkum minhā bi-ḫabarin ˈaw ˈātīkum bi-šihābin qabasin laʿallakum taṣṭalūna

   When Moses said to his family, ‘Indeed I descry a fire! I will bring you some news from it, or bring you a firebrand so that you may warm yourselves.’

8. 27:8

   فَلَمَّا جَآءَهَا نُودِىَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِى ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَسُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ﴿٨﴾

   fa-lammā ǧāˈahā nūdiya ˈan būrika man fī n-nāri wa-man ḥawlahā wa-subḥāna llāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīna

   When he came to it, he was called: ‘Blessed is He who is in the fire and who is [as well] around it, and immaculate is Allah, the Lord of all the worlds!’

9. 27:9

   يَـٰمُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّهُۥٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ﴿٩﴾

   yā-mūsā ˈinnahū ˈana llāhu l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīmu

   ‘O Moses! Indeed I am Allah, the All-mighty, the All-wise.’

10. 27:10

    وَأَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهْتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَآنٌّ وَلَّىٰ مُدْبِرًا وَلَمْ يُعَقِّبْ ۚ يَـٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفْ إِنِّى لَا يَخَافُ لَدَىَّ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ﴿١٠﴾

    wa-ˈalqi ʿaṣāka fa-lammā raˈāhā tahtazzu ka-ˈannahā ǧānnun wallā mudbiran wa-lam yuʿaqqib yā-mūsā lā taḫaf ˈinnī lā yaḫāfu ladayya l-mursalūna

    ‘Throw down your staff!’ When he saw it wriggling, as if it were a snake, he turned his back [to flee], without looking back. ‘O Moses! ‘Do not be afraid. Indeed the apostles are not afraid before Me,

11. 27:11

    إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًۢا بَعْدَ سُوٓءٍ فَإِنِّى غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ﴿١١﴾

    ˈillā man ẓalama ṯumma baddala ḥusnan baʿda sūˈin fa-ˈinnī ġafūrun raḥīmun

    nor those who do wrong and then make up for [their] fault with goodness, for indeed I am all-forgiving, all-merciful.’

12. 27:12

    وَأَدْخِلْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ ۖ فِى تِسْعِ ءَايَـٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَقَوْمِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ﴿١٢﴾

    wa-ˈadḫil yadaka fī ǧaybika taḫruǧ bayḍāˈa min ġayri sūˈin fī tisʿi ˈāyātin ˈilā firʿawna wa-qawmihī ˈinnahum kānū qawman fāsiqīna

    ‘Insert your hand into your shirt. It will emerge white and bright, without any fault—among nine signs meant for Pharaoh and his people. Indeed they are a transgressing lot.’

13. 27:13

    فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْهُمْ ءَايَـٰتُنَا مُبْصِرَةً قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ﴿١٣﴾

    fa-lammā ǧāˈathum ˈāyātunā mubṣiratan qālū hāḏā siḥrun mubīnun

    But when Our signs came to them, as eye-openers, they said, ‘This is plain magic.’

14. 27:14

    وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ أَنفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَعُلُوًّا ۚ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ﴿١٤﴾

    wa-ǧaḥadū bihā wa-stayqanathā ˈanfusuhum ẓulman wa-ʿuluwwan fa-nẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-mufsidīna

    They impugned them, wrongfully and out of arrogance, though they were convinced in their hearts [of their veracity]. So observe how the fate of the agents of corruption was!

15. 27:15

    وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَيْمَـٰنَ عِلْمًا ۖ وَقَالَا ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّنْ عِبَادِهِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿١٥﴾

    wa-la-qad ˈātaynā dāwūda wa-sulaymāna ʿilman wa-qālā l-ḥamdu li-llāhi llaḏī faḍḍalanā ʿalā kaṯīrin min ʿibādihi l-muˈminīna

    Certainly, We gave knowledge to David and Solomon, and they said, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, who granted us an advantage over many of His faithful servants.’

16. 27:16

    وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَـٰنُ دَاوُۥدَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَضْلُ ٱلْمُبِينُ﴿١٦﴾

    wa-wariṯa sulaymānu dāwūda wa-qāla yā-ˈayyuhā n-nāsu ʿullimnāmanṭiqa ṭ-ṭayri wa-ˈūtīnā min kulli šayˈin ˈinna hāḏā la-huwa l-faḍlu l-mubīnu

    Solomon inherited from David, and he said, ‘O people! We have been taught the speech of the birds, and we have been given out of everything. Indeed this is a manifest advantage.’

17. 27:17

    وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيْمَـٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ وَٱلطَّيْرِ فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ﴿١٧﴾

    wa-ḥušira li-sulaymāna ǧunūduhū mina l-ǧinni wa-l-ˈinsi wa-ṭ-ṭayri fa-hum yūzaʿūna

    [Once] Solomon’s hosts were marched out for him, comprising jinn, humans and birds, and they were held in check.

18. 27:18

    حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَتَوْا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّمْلُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ مَسَـٰكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَـٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ﴿١٨﴾

    ḥattā ˈiḏā ˈataw ʿalā wādi n-namli qālat namlatun yā-ˈayyuhā n-namlu dḫulū masākinakum lā yaḥṭimannakum sulaymānu wa-ǧunūduhū wa-hum lā yašʿurūna

    When they came to the Valley of Ants, an ant said, ‘O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts should trample on you while they are unaware.’

19. 27:19

    فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكًا مِّن قَوْلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِىٓ أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَٰلِدَىَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَـٰلِحًا تَرْضَىٰهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِى بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِى عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ﴿١٩﴾

    fa-tabassama ḍāḥikan min qawlihā wa-qāla rabbi ˈawziʿnī ˈan ˈaškura niʿmataka llatī ˈanʿamta ʿalayya wa-ʿalā wālidayya wa-ˈan ˈaʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa-ˈadḫilnī bi-raḥmatika fī ʿibādika ṣ-ṣāliḥīna

    Whereat he smiled, amused at its words, and he said, ‘My Lord! Inspire me to give thanks for Your blessing with which You have blessed me and my parents, and that I may do righteous deeds which please You, and admit me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants.’

20. 27:20

    وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّيْرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِىَ لَآ أَرَى ٱلْهُدْهُدَ أَمْ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْغَآئِبِينَ﴿٢٠﴾

    wa-tafaqqada ṭ-ṭayra fa-qāla mā liya lā ˈarā l-hudhuda ˈam kāna mina l-ġāˈibīna

    [One day] he reviewed the birds, and said, ‘Why do I not see the hoopoe? Or is he absent?’

21. 27:21

    لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا أَوْ لَأَا۟ذْبَحَنَّهُۥٓ أَوْ لَيَأْتِيَنِّى بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ﴿٢١﴾

    la-ˈuʿaḏḏibannahū ʿaḏāban šadīdan ˈaw la-ˈaḏbaḥannahū ˈaw la-yaˈtiyannī bi-sulṭānin mubīnin

    ‘I will punish him with a severe punishment, or I will behead him, unless he brings me a credible excuse.’

22. 27:22

    فَمَكَثَ غَيْرَ بَعِيدٍ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمْ تُحِطْ بِهِۦ وَجِئْتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍۭ بِنَبَإٍ يَقِينٍ﴿٢٢﴾

    fa-makaṯa ġayra baʿīdin fa-qāla ˈaḥaṭtu bi-mā lam tuḥiṭ bihī wa-ǧiˈtuka min sabaˈin bi-nabaˈin yaqīnin

    He did not stay for long [before he turned up] and said, ‘I have alighted on something which you have not alighted on, and I have brought you from Sheba a definite report.

23. 27:23

    إِنِّى وَجَدتُّ ٱمْرَأَةً تَمْلِكُهُمْ وَأُوتِيَتْ مِن كُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَلَهَا عَرْشٌ عَظِيمٌ﴿٢٣﴾

    ˈinnī waǧadtu mraˈatan tamlikuhum wa-ˈūtiyat min kulli šayˈin wa-lahā ʿaršun ʿaẓīmun

    I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given everything, and she has a great throne.

24. 27:24

    وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ أَعْمَـٰلَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ﴿٢٤﴾

    waǧadtuhā wa-qawmahā yasǧudūna li-š-šamsi min dūni llāhi wa-zayyana lahumu š-šayṭānu ˈaʿmālahum fa-ṣaddahum ʿani s-sabīli fa-hum lā yahtadūna

    I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds seem decorous to them—thus he has barred them from the way [of Allah], so they are not guided—

25. 27:25

    أَلَّا يَسْجُدُوا۟ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى يُخْرِجُ ٱلْخَبْءَ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُخْفُونَ وَمَا تُعْلِنُونَ﴿٢٥﴾

    ˈallā yasǧudū li-llāhi llaḏī yuḫriǧu l-ḫabˈa fī s-samāwāti wa-l-ˈarḍi wa-yaʿlamu mā tuḫfūna wa-mā tuʿlinūna

    so that they do not prostrate themselves to Allah, who brings forth the hidden in the heavens and the earth, and He knows whatever you hide and whatever you disclose.

26. 27:26Sajdah

    ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ۩﴿٢٦﴾

    allāhu lā ˈilāha ˈillā huwa rabbu l-ʿarši l-ʿaẓīmi

    Allah—there is no god except Him—is the Lord of the Great Throne.’

27. 27:27

    قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقْتَ أَمْ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ﴿٢٧﴾

    qāla sa-nanẓuru ˈa-ṣadaqta ˈam kunta mina l-kāḏibīna

    He said, ‘We shall see whether you are truthful, or if you are one of the liars.

28. 27:28

    ٱذْهَب بِّكِتَـٰبِى هَـٰذَا فَأَلْقِهْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا يَرْجِعُونَ﴿٢٨﴾

    iḏhab bi-kitābī hāḏā fa-ˈalqih ˈilayhim ṯumma tawalla ʿanhum fa-nẓur māḏā yarǧiʿūna

    Take this letter of mine and deliver it to them. Then draw away from them and observe what [response] they return.’

29. 27:29

    قَالَتْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّىٓ أُلْقِىَ إِلَىَّ كِتَـٰبٌ كَرِيمٌ﴿٢٩﴾

    qālat yā-ˈayyuhā l-malaˈu ˈinnī ˈulqiya ˈilayya kitābun karīmun

    She said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Indeed a noble letter has been delivered to me.

30. 27:30

    إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَيْمَـٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ﴿٣٠﴾

    ˈinnahū min sulaymāna wa-ˈinnahū bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīmi

    It is from Solomon, and it begins in the name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

31. 27:31

    أَلَّا تَعْلُوا۟ عَلَىَّ وَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ﴿٣١﴾

    ˈallā taʿlū ʿalayya wa-ˈtūnī muslimīna

    [It states,] ‘‘Do not defy me, and come to me in submission.’’ ’

32. 27:32

    قَالَتْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَفْتُونِى فِىٓ أَمْرِى مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمْرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشْهَدُونِ﴿٣٢﴾

    qālat yā-ˈayyuhā l-malaˈu ˈaftūnī fī ˈamrī mā kuntu qāṭiʿatan ˈamran ḥattā tašhadūni

    She said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Give me your opinion concerning my matter. I do not decide any matter until you are present.’

33. 27:33

    قَالُوا۟ نَحْنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةٍ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ وَٱلْأَمْرُ إِلَيْكِ فَٱنظُرِى مَاذَا تَأْمُرِينَ﴿٣٣﴾

    qālū naḥnu ˈulū quwwatin wa-ˈulū baˈsin šadīdin wa-l-ˈamru ˈilayki fa-nẓurī māḏā taˈmurīna

    They said, ‘We are powerful and possess a great might. But it is up to you to command. So consider what orders you will give.’

34. 27:34

    قَالَتْ إِنَّ ٱلْمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرْيَةً أَفْسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوٓا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهْلِهَآ أَذِلَّةً ۖ وَكَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ﴿٣٤﴾

    qālat ˈinna l-mulūka ˈiḏā daḫalū qaryatan ˈafsadūhā wa-ǧaʿalū ˈaʿizzata ˈahlihā ˈaḏillatan wa-ka-ḏālika yafʿalūna

    She said, ‘Indeed when kings enter a town, they devastate it, and make the mightiest of its people the weakest. That is how they act.

35. 27:35

    وَإِنِّى مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ﴿٣٥﴾

    wa-ˈinnī mursilatun ˈilayhim bi-hadiyyatin fa-nāẓiratun bi-ma yarǧiʿu l-mursalūna

    I will send them a gift, and see what the envoys bring back.’

36. 27:36

    فَلَمَّا جَآءَ سُلَيْمَـٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالٍ فَمَآ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّآ ءَاتَىٰكُم بَلْ أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ﴿٣٦﴾

    fa-lammā ǧāˈa sulaymāna qāla ˈa-tumiddūnani bi-mālin fa-mā ˈātāniya llāhu ḫayrun mimmā ˈātākum bal ˈantum bi-hadiyyatikum tafraḥūna

    So when he came to Solomon, he said, ‘Are you aiding me with wealth? What Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Indeed, you are proud of your gift!

37. 27:37

    ٱرْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمْ فَلَنَأْتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنُودٍ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخْرِجَنَّهُم مِّنْهَآ أَذِلَّةً وَهُمْ صَـٰغِرُونَ﴿٣٧﴾

    irǧiʿ ˈilayhim fa-la-naˈtiyannahum bi-ǧunūdin lā qibala lahum bihā wa-la-nuḫriǧannahum minhā ˈaḏillatan wa-hum ṣāġirūna

    Go back to them, for we will come at them with hosts which they cannot face, and we will expel them from it, abased and degraded.’

38. 27:38

    قَالَ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ أَيُّكُمْ يَأْتِينِى بِعَرْشِهَا قَبْلَ أَن يَأْتُونِى مُسْلِمِينَ﴿٣٨﴾

    qāla yā-ˈayyuhā l-malaˈu ˈayyukum yaˈtīnī bi-ʿaršihā qabla ˈan yaˈtūnī muslimīna

    He said, ‘O [members of the] elite! Which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?’

39. 27:39

    قَالَ عِفْرِيتٌ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَ ۖ وَإِنِّى عَلَيْهِ لَقَوِىٌّ أَمِينٌ﴿٣٩﴾

    qāla ʿifrītun mina l-ǧinni ˈana ˈātīka bihī qabla ˈan taqūma min maqāmika wa-ˈinnī ʿalayhi la-qawiyyun ˈamīnun

    An afreet from among the jinn said, ‘I will bring it to you before you rise from your place. I have the power to do it and am trustworthy.’

40. 27:40

    قَالَ ٱلَّذِى عِندَهُۥ عِلْمٌ مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِيكَ بِهِۦ قَبْلَ أَن يَرْتَدَّ إِلَيْكَ طَرْفُكَ ۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسْتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَـٰذَا مِن فَضْلِ رَبِّى لِيَبْلُوَنِىٓ ءَأَشْكُرُ أَمْ أَكْفُرُ ۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا يَشْكُرُ لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّى غَنِىٌّ كَرِيمٌ﴿٤٠﴾

    qāla llaḏī ʿindahū ʿilmun mina l-kitābi ˈana ˈātīka bihī qabla ˈan yartadda ˈilayka ṭarfuka fa-lammā raˈāhu mustaqirran ʿindahū qāla hāḏā min faḍli rabbī li-yabluwanī ˈa-ˈaškuru ˈam ˈakfuru wa-man šakara fa-ˈinnamā yaškuru li-nafsihī wa-man kafara fa-ˈinna rabbī ġaniyyun karīmun

    The one who had knowledge of the Book said, ‘I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye.’ So when he saw it set near him, he said, ‘This is by the grace of my Lord, to test me if I will give thanks or be ungrateful. Whoever gives thanks, gives thanks only for his own sake. And whoever is ungrateful [should know that] my Lord is indeed all-sufficient, all-generous.’

41. 27:41

    قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِىٓ أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ﴿٤١﴾

    qāla nakkirū lahā ʿaršahā nanẓur ˈa-tahtadī ˈam takūnu mina llaḏīna lā yahtadūna

    He said, ‘Disguise her throne for her, so that we may see whether she is discerning or if she is one of the undiscerning ones.’

42. 27:42

    فَلَمَّا جَآءَتْ قِيلَ أَهَـٰكَذَا عَرْشُكِ ۖ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ ۚ وَأُوتِينَا ٱلْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ﴿٤٢﴾

    fa-lammā ǧāˈat qīla ˈa-hākaḏā ʿaršuki qālat ka-ˈannahū huwa wa-ˈūtīnā l-ʿilma min qablihā wa-kunnā muslimīna

    So when she came, it was said [to her], ‘Is your throne like this one?’ She said, ‘It seems to be the same, and we were informed before it, and we had submitted.’

43. 27:43

    وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعْبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِن قَوْمٍ كَـٰفِرِينَ﴿٤٣﴾

    wa-ṣaddahā mā kānat taʿbudu min dūni llāhi ˈinnahā kānat min qawmin kāfirīna

    She had been barred [from the way of Allah] by what she used to worship besides Allah, for she belonged to a faithless people.

44. 27:44

    قِيلَ لَهَا ٱدْخُلِى ٱلصَّرْحَ ۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْهُ حَسِبَتْهُ لُجَّةً وَكَشَفَتْ عَن سَاقَيْهَا ۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرْحٌ مُّمَرَّدٌ مِّن قَوَارِيرَ ۗ قَالَتْ رَبِّ إِنِّى ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِى وَأَسْلَمْتُ مَعَ سُلَيْمَـٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ﴿٤٤﴾

    qīla lahā dḫulī ṣ-ṣarḥa fa-lammā raˈathu ḥasibathu luǧǧatan wa-kašafat ʿan sāqayhā qāla ˈinnahū ṣarḥun mumarradun min qawārīra qālat rabbi ˈinnī ẓalamtu nafsī wa-ˈaslamtu maʿa sulaymāna li-llāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīna

    It was said to her, ‘Enter the palace.’ So when she saw it, she supposed it to be a pool of water, and she bared her shanks. He said, ‘It is a palace paved with crystal.’ She said, ‘My Lord! Indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.’

45. 27:45

    وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَـٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمْ فَرِيقَانِ يَخْتَصِمُونَ﴿٤٥﴾

    wa-la-qad ˈarsalnā ˈilā ṯamūda ˈaḫāhum ṣāliḥan ˈani ʿbudū llāha fa-ˈiḏā hum farīqāni yaḫtaṣimūna

    Certainly We sent to Thamud Salih, their brother, [with the summons:] ‘Worship Allah!’ But thereat they became two groups contending with each other.

46. 27:46

    قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ﴿٤٦﴾

    qāla yā-qawmi li-ma tastaʿǧilūna bi-s-sayyiˈati qabla l-ḥasanati law-lā tastaġfirūna llāha laʿallakum turḥamūna

    He said, ‘O My people! Why do you press for evil sooner than for good? Why do you not plead to Allah for forgiveness so that you may receive His mercy?’

47. 27:47

    قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّيَّرْنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَ ۚ قَالَ طَـٰٓئِرُكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ تُفْتَنُونَ﴿٤٧﴾

    qālū ṭṭayyarnā bika wa-bi-man maʿaka qāla ṭāˈirukum ʿinda llāhi bal ˈantum qawmun tuftanūna

    They said, ‘We take you and those who are with you for a bad omen.’ He said, ‘Your bad omens are from Allah. Indeed, you are a people being tested.’

48. 27:48

    وَكَانَ فِى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ تِسْعَةُ رَهْطٍ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ﴿٤٨﴾

    wa-kāna fī l-madīnati tisʿatu rahṭin yufsidūna fī l-ˈarḍi wa-lā yuṣliḥūna

    There were nine persons in the city who caused corruption in the land and did not set things right.

49. 27:49

    قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ﴿٤٩﴾

    qālū taqāsamū bi-llāhi la-nubayyitannahū wa-ˈahlahū ṯumma la-naqūlanna li-waliyyihī mā šahidnā mahlika ˈahlihī wa-ˈinnā la-ṣādiqūna

    They said, ‘Swear by Allah that we will attack him and his family by night. Then we will tell his heir that we were not present at the murder of his family and that we speak the truth.’

50. 27:50

    وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكْرًا وَمَكَرْنَا مَكْرًا وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ﴿٥٠﴾

    wa-makarū makran wa-makarnā makran wa-hum lā yašʿurūna

    They devised a plot, and We [too] devised a plan, but they were not aware.

51. 27:51

    فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ مَكْرِهِمْ أَنَّا دَمَّرْنَـٰهُمْ وَقَوْمَهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ﴿٥١﴾

    fa-nẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu makrihim ˈannā dammarnāhum wa-qawmahum ˈaǧmaʿīna

    So observe how was the outcome of their plotting, as We destroyed them and all their people.

52. 27:52

    فَتِلْكَ بُيُوتُهُمْ خَاوِيَةًۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَةً لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ﴿٥٢﴾

    fa-tilka buyūtuhum ḫāwiyatan bi-mā ẓalamū ˈinna fī ḏālika la-ˈāyatan li-qawmin yaʿlamūna

    So there lay their houses, fallen in ruin because of their wrongdoing. There is indeed a sign in that for a people who have knowledge.

53. 27:53

    وَأَنجَيْنَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ يَتَّقُونَ﴿٥٣﴾

    wa-ˈanǧaynā llaḏīna ˈāmanū wa-kānū yattaqūna

    And We delivered those who had faith and were Godwary.

54. 27:54

    وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ﴿٥٤﴾

    wa-lūṭan ˈiḏ qāla li-qawmihī ˈa-taˈtūna l-fāḥišata wa-ˈantum tubṣirūna

    [We also sent] Lot, when he said to his people, ‘What! Do you commit this indecency while you look on?

55. 27:55

    أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ﴿٥٥﴾

    ˈa-ˈinnakum la-taˈtūna r-riǧāla šahwatan min dūni n-nisāˈi bal ˈantum qawmun taǧhalūna

    Do you approach men with [sexual] desire instead of women?! Indeed, you are a senseless lot!’

56. 27:56

    فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّآ أَن قَالُوٓا۟ أَخْرِجُوٓا۟ ءَالَ لُوطٍ مِّن قَرْيَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ﴿٥٦﴾

    fa-mā kāna ǧawāba qawmihī ˈillā ˈan qālū ˈaḫriǧū ˈāla lūṭin min qaryatikum ˈinnahum ˈunāsun yataṭahharūna

    But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Expel Lot’s family from your town! They are indeed a puritanical lot.’

57. 27:57

    فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱمْرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرْنَـٰهَا مِنَ ٱلْغَـٰبِرِينَ﴿٥٧﴾

    fa-ˈanǧaynāhu wa-ˈahlahū ˈillā mraˈatahū qaddarnāhā mina l-ġābirīna

    So We delivered him and his family, except his wife. We ordained her to be among those who remained behind.

58. 27:58

    وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ﴿٥٨﴾

    wa-ˈamṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fa-sāˈa maṭaru l-munḏarīna

    Then We poured down upon them a rain [of stones]. Evil was that rain for those who had been warned!

59. 27:59

    قُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱصْطَفَىٰٓ ۗ ءَآللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴿٥٩﴾

    quli l-ḥamdu li-llāhi wa-salāmun ʿalā ʿibādihi llaḏīna ṣṭafā ˈāllāhu ḫayrun ˈammā yušrikūna

    Say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah, and Peace be to the servants whom He has chosen.’ Is Allah better, or the partners they ascribe [to Him]?

60. 27:60

    أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَأَنۢبَتْنَا بِهِۦ حَدَآئِقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَآ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ يَعْدِلُونَ﴿٦٠﴾

    ˈam-man ḫalaqa s-samāwāti wa-l-ˈarḍa wa-ˈanzala lakum mina s-samāˈi māˈan fa-ˈanbatnā bihī ḥadāˈiqa ḏāta bahǧatin mā kāna lakum ˈan tunbitū šaǧarahā ˈa-ˈilāhun maʿa llāhi bal hum qawmun yaʿdilūna

    Is He who created the heavens and the earth, and sends down for you water from the sky, whereby We grow delightful gardens, whose trees you could never cause to grow...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Indeed, they are a lot who equate [others with Allah].

61. 27:61

    أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَجَعَلَ خِلَـٰلَهَآ أَنْهَـٰرًا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَٰسِىَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِزًا ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴿٦١﴾

    ˈam-man ǧaʿala l-ˈarḍa qarāran wa-ǧaʿala ḫilālahā ˈanhāran wa-ǧaʿala lahā rawāsiya wa-ǧaʿala bayna l-baḥrayni ḥāǧizan ˈa-ˈilāhun maʿa llāhi bal ˈakṯaruhum lā yaʿlamūna

    Is He who made the earth an abode [for you], and made rivers [flowing] through it, and set firm mountains for it [’s stability], and set a barrier between the two seas...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Indeed, most of them do not know.

62. 27:62

    أَمَّن يُجِيبُ ٱلْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَآءَ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ﴿٦٢﴾

    ˈam-man yuǧību l-muḍṭarra ˈiḏā daʿāhu wa-yakšifu s-sūˈa wa-yaǧʿalukum ḫulafāˈa l-ˈarḍi ˈa-ˈilāhun maʿa llāhi qalīlan mā taḏakkarūna

    Is He who answers the call of the distressed [person] when he invokes Him and removes his distress, and makes you successors on the earth...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Little is the admonition that you take.

63. 27:63

    أَمَّن يَهْدِيكُمْ فِى ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ وَمَن يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَـٰحَ بُشْرًۢا بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَحْمَتِهِۦٓ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ تَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ﴿٦٣﴾

    ˈam-man yahdīkum fī ẓulumāti l-barri wa-l-baḥri wa-man yursilu r-riyāḥa bušran bayna yaday raḥmatihī ˈa-ˈilāhun maʿa llāhi taʿālā llāhu ʿammā yušrikūna

    Is He who guides you in the darkness of land and sea and who sends the winds as harbingers of His mercy...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Exalted is Allah above [having] any partners that they ascribe [to Him].

64. 27:64

    أَمَّن يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَمَن يَرْزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ أَءِلَـٰهٌ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ قُلْ هَاتُوا۟ بُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ﴿٦٤﴾

    ˈam-man yabdaˈu l-ḫalqa ṯumma yuʿīduhū wa-man yarzuqukum mina s-samāˈi wa-l-ˈarḍi ˈa-ˈilāhun maʿa llāhi qul hātū burhānakum ˈin kuntum ṣādiqīna

    Is He who originates the creation, then He will bring it back, and who provides for you from the sky and the earth...? What! Is there a god besides Allah? Say, ‘Produce your evidence, if you are truthful.’

65. 27:65

    قُل لَّا يَعْلَمُ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ٱلْغَيْبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَيَّانَ يُبْعَثُونَ﴿٦٥﴾

    qul lā yaʿlamu man fī s-samāwāti wa-l-ˈarḍi l-ġayba ˈillā llāhu wa-mā yašʿurūna ˈayyāna yubʿaṯūna

    Say, ‘No one in the heavens or the earth knows the Unseen except Allah, and they are not aware when they will be resurrected.’

66. 27:66

    بَلِ ٱدَّٰرَكَ عِلْمُهُمْ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّنْهَا ۖ بَلْ هُم مِّنْهَا عَمُونَ﴿٦٦﴾

    bali ddāraka ʿilmuhum fī l-ˈāḫirati bal hum fī šakkin minhā bal hum minhā ʿamūna

    Do they comprehend the knowledge of the Hereafter? No, they are in doubt about it. Indeed, they are blind to it.

67. 27:67

    وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَٰبًا وَءَابَآؤُنَآ أَئِنَّا لَمُخْرَجُونَ﴿٦٧﴾

    wa-qāla llaḏīna kafarū ˈa-ˈiḏā kunnā turāban wa-ˈābāˈunā ˈa-ˈinnā la-muḫraǧūna

    The faithless say, ‘What! When we and our fathers have become dust shall we be raised [from the dead]?

68. 27:68

    لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا هَـٰذَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ﴿٦٨﴾

    la-qad wuʿidnā hāḏā naḥnu wa-ˈābāˈunā min qablu ˈin hāḏā ˈillā ˈasāṭīru l-ˈawwalīna

    We and our fathers were promised this before. [But] these are just myths of the ancients.’

69. 27:69

    قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ﴿٦٩﴾

    qul sīrū fī l-ˈarḍi fa-nẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-muǧrimīna

    Say, ‘Travel over the land and observe how was the fate of the guilty.’

70. 27:70

    وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُن فِى ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ﴿٧٠﴾

    wa-lā taḥzan ʿalayhim wa-lā takun fī ḍayqin mimmā yamkurūna

    Do not grieve for them, and do not be upset by their guile.

71. 27:71

    وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ﴿٧١﴾

    wa-yaqūlūna matā hāḏā l-waʿdu ˈin kuntum ṣādiqīna

    They say, ‘When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?’

72. 27:72

    قُلْ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعْضُ ٱلَّذِى تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ﴿٧٢﴾

    qul ʿasā ˈan yakūna radifa lakum baʿḍu llaḏī tastaʿǧilūna

    Say, ‘Perhaps there is right behind you some of what you seek to hasten.’

73. 27:73

    وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ﴿٧٣﴾

    wa-ˈinna rabbaka la-ḏū faḍlin ʿalā n-nāsi wa-lākinna ˈakṯarahum lā yaškurūna

    Indeed your Lord is gracious to mankind, but most of them do not give thanks.

74. 27:74

    وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ﴿٧٤﴾

    wa-ˈinna rabbaka la-yaʿlamu mā tukinnu ṣudūruhum wa-mā yuʿlinūna

    Your Lord knows whatever their breasts conceal, and whatever they disclose.

75. 27:75

    وَمَا مِنْ غَآئِبَةٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا فِى كِتَـٰبٍ مُّبِينٍ﴿٧٥﴾

    wa-mā min ġāˈibatin fī s-samāˈi wa-l-ˈarḍi ˈillā fī kitābin mubīnin

    There is no invisible thing in the heaven and the earth but it is in a manifest Book.

76. 27:76

    إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ يَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ أَكْثَرَ ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ يَخْتَلِفُونَ﴿٧٦﴾

    ˈinna hāḏā l-qurˈāna yaquṣṣu ʿalā banī ˈisrāˈīla ˈakṯara llaḏī hum fīhi yaḫtalifūna

    This Quran recounts for the Children of Israel most of what they differ about,

77. 27:77

    وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ﴿٧٧﴾

    wa-ˈinnahū la-hudan wa-raḥmatun li-l-muˈminīna

    and it is indeed a guidance and mercy for the faithful.

78. 27:78

    إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقْضِى بَيْنَهُم بِحُكْمِهِۦ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ﴿٧٨﴾

    ˈinna rabbaka yaqḍī baynahum bi-ḥukmihī wa-huwa l-ʿazīzu l-ʿalīmu

    Your Lord will decide between them by His judgement, and He is the All-mighty, the All-knowing.

79. 27:79

    فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى ٱلْحَقِّ ٱلْمُبِينِ﴿٧٩﴾

    fa-tawakkal ʿalā llāhi ˈinnaka ʿalā l-ḥaqqi l-mubīni

    So put your trust in Allah, for you indeed stand on the manifest truth.

80. 27:80

    إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ﴿٨٠﴾

    ˈinnaka lā tusmiʿu l-mawtā wa-lā tusmiʿu ṣ-ṣumma d-duʿāˈa ˈiḏā wallaw mudbirīna

    You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf listen to your call when they turn their backs,

81. 27:81

    وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِى ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ﴿٨١﴾

    wa-mā ˈanta bi-hādī l-ʿumyi ʿan ḍalālatihim ˈin tusmiʿu ˈillā man yuˈminu bi-ˈāyātinā fa-hum muslimūna

    nor can you lead the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our signs and have submitted.

82. 27:82

    وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَخْرَجْنَا لَهُمْ دَآبَّةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا لَا يُوقِنُونَ﴿٨٢﴾

    wa-ˈiḏā waqaʿa l-qawlu ʿalayhim ˈaḫraǧnā lahum dābbatan mina l-ˈarḍi tukallimuhum ˈanna n-nāsa kānū bi-ˈāyātinā lā yūqinūna

    When the word [of judgement] falls upon them, We shall bring out for them an Animal from the earth who shall tell them that the people had no faith in Our signs.

83. 27:83

    وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوْجًا مِّمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَهُمْ يُوزَعُونَ﴿٨٣﴾

    wa-yawma naḥšuru min kulli ˈummatin fawǧan mimman yukaḏḏibu bi-ˈāyātinā fa-hum yūzaʿūna

    On that day We shall resurrect from every nation a group of those who denied Our signs, and they will be held in check.

84. 27:84

    حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبْتُم بِـَٔايَـٰتِى وَلَمْ تُحِيطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلْمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٨٤﴾

    ḥattā ˈiḏā ǧāˈū qāla ˈa-kaḏḏabtum bi-ˈāyātī wa-lam tuḥīṭū bihā ʿilman ˈammāḏā kuntum taʿmalūna

    When they come, He will say, ‘Did you deny My signs without comprehending them in knowledge? What was it that you used to do?’

85. 27:85

    وَوَقَعَ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَيْهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمْ لَا يَنطِقُونَ﴿٨٥﴾

    wa-waqaʿa l-qawlu ʿalayhim bi-mā ẓalamū fa-hum lā yanṭiqūna

    And the word [of judgement] shall fall upon them for their wrongdoing, and they will not speak.

86. 27:86

    أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِيَسْكُنُوا۟ فِيهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ﴿٨٦﴾

    ˈa-lam yaraw ˈannā ǧaʿalnā l-layla li-yaskunū fīhi wa-n-nahāra mubṣiran ˈinna fī ḏālika la-ˈāyātin li-qawmin yuˈminūna

    Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest in it, and the day to provide visibility. There are indeed signs in that for a people who have faith.

87. 27:87

    وَيَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ إِلَّا مَن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوْهُ دَٰخِرِينَ﴿٨٧﴾

    wa-yawma yunfaḫu fī ṣ-ṣūri fa-faziʿa man fī s-samāwāti wa-man fī l-ˈarḍi ˈillā man šāˈa llāhu wa-kullun ˈatawhu dāḫirīna

    The day when the trumpet is blown, whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified, except such as Allah wishes, and all will come to Him in utter humility.

88. 27:88

    وَتَرَى ٱلْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَهِىَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِ ۚ صُنْعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَفْعَلُونَ﴿٨٨﴾

    wa-tarā l-ǧibāla taḥsabuhā ǧāmidatan wa-hiya tamurru marra s-saḥābi ṣunʿa llāhi llaḏī ˈatqana kulla šayˈin ˈinnahū ḫabīrun bi-mā tafʿalūna

    You see the mountains, which you suppose, to be stationary, while they drift like passing clouds—the handiwork of Allah who has made everything faultless. He is indeed well aware of what you do.

89. 27:89

    مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَيْرٌ مِّنْهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ ءَامِنُونَ﴿٨٩﴾

    man ǧāˈa bi-l-ḥasanati fa-lahū ḫayrun minhā wa-hum min fazaʿin yawmaˈiḏin ˈāminūna

    Whoever brings virtue shall receive [a reward] better than it; and on that day they will be secure from terror.

90. 27:90

    وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِى ٱلنَّارِ هَلْ تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٩٠﴾

    wa-man ǧāˈa bi-s-sayyiˈati fa-kubbat wuǧūhuhum fī n-nāri hal tuǧzawna ˈillā mā kuntum taʿmalūna

    But whoever brings vice—they shall be cast on their faces into the Fire [and told:] ‘Shall you not be requited for what you used to do?’

91. 27:91

    إِنَّمَآ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ رَبَّ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْبَلْدَةِ ٱلَّذِى حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَىْءٍ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ﴿٩١﴾

    ˈinnamā ˈumirtu ˈan ˈaʿbuda rabba hāḏihi l-baldati llaḏī ḥarramahā wa-lahū kullu šayˈin wa-ˈumirtu ˈan ˈakūna mina l-muslimīna

    [Say], ‘I have been commanded to worship the Lord of this city who has made it inviolable and to whom all things belong, and I have been commanded to be among those who submit [to Allah],

92. 27:92

    وَأَنْ أَتْلُوَا۟ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ ۖ فَمَنِ ٱهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِى لِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ﴿٩٢﴾

    wa-ˈan ˈatluwa l-qurˈāna fa-mani htadā fa-ˈinnamā yahtadī li-nafsihī wa-man ḍalla fa-qul ˈinnamā ˈana mina l-munḏirīna

    and to recite the Quran.’ Whoever is guided is guided only for his own good, and as for him who goes astray, say, ‘I am just one of the warners.’

93. 27:93

    وَقُلِ ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُرِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ فَتَعْرِفُونَهَا ۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ﴿٩٣﴾

    wa-quli l-ḥamdu li-llāhi sa-yurīkum ˈāyātihī fa-taʿrifūnahā wa-mā rabbuka bi-ġāfilin ʿammā taʿmalūna

    And say, ‘All praise belongs to Allah. Soon He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them.’ Your Lord is not oblivious of what you do.
