I saw in her the Night of Power
وما أدراكَ ليلةُ القدرand what will tell you what the Night of Power is?
Zaynab, like her mother al-Zahra,
(2x)is peace until the rising of the dawn

Adorned in the world of light,
وأرشدت بعالم الذرand guided in the primordial world of spirits.

And the sun is a sign for those who pray,
(2x)gleaming between the Shaf' and the Witr prayers.
Peace of Allah be upon Zaynab!
Blessings of Allah be upon Zaynab!
Peace of Allah be upon Zaynab!
Blessings of Allah, blessings of Allah be upon Zaynab!
Never shall the fire harm me,
(2x)while her love, Zaynab, is in my heart!
While the love of Zaynab is in my heart!
I have come wounded, so heal me!
I have come seeking your pleasure, so be pleased with me!
And despite my sins I cried out: O Hawra!
(2x)Your love flows through my veins!
I have come wounded, so heal me!
I have come seeking your pleasure, so be pleased with me!
And despite my sins I cried out: O Hawra!
(2x)Your love flows through my veins!
And whenever I wrote a verse for her,
I saw it would suffice me till the Day of Resurrection.
And whenever I wept tears for her,
(2x)I knew that Zaynab is my faith.
And people will come on the Day of Reckoning,
To the Cupbearer at Kawthar.
And people will come on the Day of Reckoning,
To the Cupbearer at Kawthar.
Would Haydar ever accept that the one who wept for her should go thirsty tomorrow?
Would he ever accept that the one who wept for her should be thirsty?
Should go thirsty?
Peace of Allah be upon...
Blessings of Allah be upon Zaynab.
O Zaynab!
Far be it that the Fire could ever hurt me,
(3x)While in my heart is the love of Zaynab.
The love of Zaynab.
Without a seeing heart, without reason,
And good fortune dwindled in the soil of my field.
Without a seeing heart, without reason,
And good fortune dwindled in the soil of my field.
(2x)My soul turned towards Karbala,
And I gave greetings to Aba al-Fadl,
And I gave greetings to Aba al-Fadl.
(2x)So al-Abbas gestured towards the Levant,
There you shall find her sheltering tenderness.
She will shelter my Shia just as she sheltered
(2x)The orphans of my brother and my own orphans."
(2x)Peace be upon you, O Aba al-Fadl!
