تباعدنا وتجرحنا الايادي الظّالمةThe oppressive hands distance us and wound us.

هي الأيّام من بعد البتول قاتمةThe days after the Pure One are dark.

لقد فارقت روحي حين ماتت فاطمة (2x)My soul departed when Fatima died.

أيا سلوى فؤادي في الليالي الحالمةO solace of my heart in the dreaming nights,

تباعدنا وتجرحنا الايادي الظّالمةThe oppressive hands distance us and wound us.

هي الأيّام من بعد البتول قاتمةThe days after the Pure One are dark.

لقد فارقت روحي حين ماتت فاطمةMy soul departed when Fatima died.

وتضرب ثمّ تحمل في السبايا زينبُAnd Zainab is beaten, then carried among the captives.

كأنّ الصوت منها يا عليّ تغصبُIt was as if the voice from her, O Ali, was being seized.

ويا مسموم شمس الله بعدك تغربُAnd O poisoned one, the sun of God sets after you.

فيأتي من بطون العرش أن يا فاطمةThen from the depths of the Throne, a voice will call out: “O Fatimah,

لك الجنّات أنك في العوالم غايتيParadise is yours, for in all worlds, you are My ultimate purpose.”

أنادي في الخليقة يا إلهي شيعتي (2x)I call out among creation, “O my God, my followers!

ومن أولاهم الحسنى سيدخل جنّتيAnd whoever has shown them kindness will enter My Paradise.”

فيأتي من بطون العرش أن يا فاطمةThen from the depths of the Throne, a voice will call out: “O Fatimah,

لك الجنّات أنك في العوالم غايتي (2x)Paradise is yours, for in all worlds, you are My ultimate purpose.”
