يا سبيل النجاةO path of salvation,

يا عين الحياةO spring of life,

يا روح الصلاةO spirit of prayer,

في بطون العرشIn the depths of the Throne,

جاءك المبتلى بهوى كربلاءThe afflicted one came to you, enamored with Karbala,

يا طريح الفلاO fallen one in the desert,

سرنا لا تفشيDo not reveal our secret.

أيها الساقيO cupbearer,

أيها الباقيO enduring one,

يا أبا عبد اللهO Aba Abdillah!

كلما أدعو يسبق الدمعWhenever I supplicate, tears precede me,

يصرخ الضلعThe rib cries out,

يا غريب الزهراءO stranger of Zahra!

كلما أركع أذكرWhenever I bow, I remember

المصرع منها يقطعThe battlefield, from which it is cut,

يا غريب الزهراءO stranger of Zahra!

سجدتي لله بعدها ينعاهMy prostration to God, after which my heart laments him,

قلبي الأواهMy lamenting heart,

يا قتيل الزهراءO slain one of Zahra!

يا ابن قتيل السجودO son of the one slain in prostration,

يا تجلي الودودO manifestation of the Most Loving,

بالخفا والشهود منكَIn hiddenness and manifestation, from you,

تحيي نظرهA glance revives.

من أتى مأتمهWhoever attends his mourning gathering,

شهدت فاطمةFatima bears witness,

يضمن الخاتمةGuarantees a good end.

يا غريب الزهراءO stranger of Zahra!

أيها الصابر أيها الباقيO patient one, O enduring one,

يا أبا عبد الله (2x)O Aba Abdillah!

أيها الصابر أيها الباقيO patient one, O enduring one,

يا أبا عبد اللهO Aba Abdillah!

ايها الصادي ايها الباقيO thirsty one, O remaining one!

يا ابا عبد اللهO Aba Abdillah!

اليوم تاهوا ذاك معناهواToday they are lost, that is its meaning.

رفع الله رايه العباسGod raised the banner of Abbas.

للتغى عز للهدى حرزFor piety, glory; for guidance, a sanctuary.

ليست تهتز رايه العباسThe banner of Abbas does not waver.

اخر الوعد وافي العهدThe last promise, the faithful covenant.

يرفع المهدي رايه العباسThe Mahdi raises the banner of Abbas.

سجلوا هذا الغروب كي يحج ويطوف مكه بالالوف حول نور الكعبهRecord this sunset, so that thousands may pilgrimage and circumambulate Mecca around the light of the Kaaba.

وانا في الطفوف عند قطع الكفوف الف سبع عطوف حول نور القبهAnd I am in Tuffuf, where hands were severed, a thousand compassionate lions circumambulate around the light of the dome.

ايها الصادي الباقيO thirsty one, O remaining one!

يا ابا عبد اللهO Aba Abdillah!

قلبي المتعبMy weary heart

عنده متل ياHe has a likeness, O

زينب فيه يرضى اللهZaynab, in her, God is pleased.

دمعنا الاقرب شعرنا الاعذبOur closest tears, our sweetest poetry.

باسمها يكتب فيه يرضى اللهIn her name it is written, in her, God is pleased.

امنا والاب يا عفاف الرب (2x)Our mother and father, O purity of the Lord.

ذكر يا زينبMention, O Zaynab!

فيه يرضى الله (2x)In her, God is pleased.

عنده شوق الغدرShe has the longing of treachery.

اخت ذاك القمرSister of that moon.

شانها كالبشرHer status is like humanity.

كان اهل الاسماءShe was of the people of names.

بنت وحي السورDaughter of the revelation of the chapters.

عم المنتظرAunt of the Awaited One.

سمعوه ذكرThey heard him mention.

عمتی یا عمہMy aunt, O aunt!

ايها الصابرO patient one!

ايها الغائبO absent one!

يا ابا عبد اللهO Aba Abdillah!
