اسالك اللحاق اما بزينه الماتم بمنI ask you to let me join the adornment of the mourning gathering

فدى بالدمع حينا وبالجراح والدمWith those who sacrificed with tears at times, and with wounds and blood

من شرف بان يقال عنه شهيد فاطميHe who was honored to be called a Fatimid martyr

وحمره بين العيون وباسهم بين السواترAnd a redness between the eyes, and their might between the trenches

وانسهم عند المنونAnd their intimacy at the time of death

أن لا تبرديThat it may not cool down

لانه من اكتوى في حبيبهBecause whoever is burned in the love of his beloved

سيهتدي لذاك صاحوا لو حرقتمHe will be guided, so they cried out, 'If you burn!'

لما تركت سيدي.'I would not leave my master'
